Lucy Milburn took to the stage on The Voice UK 2018 this weekend.
The Blind Auditions continued in the second instalment of The Voice UK on ITV this evening.
Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Sir Tom Jones are back as coaches for this year’s series alongside new coach Olly Murs.
The fabulous four piece are on a quest to uncover the best vocal talent that Britain has to offer, with this year’s winner scooping a life changing record contract with Polydor Records.
As always, the first stage is the blind auditions where the contestants must hold their nerve as they sing to the backs of the coaches.
If the coaches like what they hear, they bash their buzzer to spin around and select that artist for their teams of ten. If more than one spins then it’s up to the act to pick which team to join.
With only ten spots to fill on each coach’s team, the competition is fierce and already places are filling up.
After last week’s first weekend, Olly and Jennifer had two singers and Sir Tom and Will had one performer apiece going into Week 2.
Hoping to join them was 20-year-old Lucy Milburn from Sheffield.
She performed Amber Riley’s Colorblind to close the second round of blind auditions.
The stellar performance had all four coaches turning for Lucy, leaving her the tough task of picking between them.
After a mega pitch battle, it was Tom who won Lucy for his team.
“If you don’t chose me, I’m going to leave right now,” he joked following audition.
It was the latest battle between the coaches as the competition heats up with will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones searching for a singing superstar.
There will be more twists and turns from the infamous red chairs with the coaches pitching against each other to fill their teams with the finest vocal talent.
Will the singing hopefuls produce the performance they need to secure a coveted record contract with Polydor?
The Voice UK 2018 airs Saturday nights on ITV.
