The Voice UK 2018: Gayatri Nair stuns coaches with her blind audition

Gayatri Nair stunned The Voice UK 2018 coaches with her blind audition in tonight’s show.

This evening saw Week 4 of series seven of The Voice UK which continued on ITV.
The search for a new vocal superstar went on with global music legends will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs still on their quest to uncover the best vocal talent that Britain has to offer.
Once again, this year’s winner will scoop a life changing record contract with Polydor Records.
Hoping to grab that prize tonight was 16-year-old music student Gayatri Nair from Peckham, London.

She closed the blind auditions this week with Powerful by The Cast of Empire.
Gayatri stunned the panel and got Jennifer, Tom and Will all turning around.
The trio then pitched for the talented teen to join their teams.

Making her choice, Gayatri said: “The coach I’m going to pick is from my gut and my heart… the coach I’m saying is Jennifer.”
After four weeks of auditions, Team Olly currently leads the way with seven acts while Team Tom and Team Will have six apiece.
Jennifer has proven slightly pickier so far, selecting five for her team’s line up.
Each coach needs 10 acts for the next stages – the battle rounds – and will be seen fighting over more acts next week.
Meanwhile, other successful singers tonight included 17-year-old student Kirby Frost who performed Ciao Adios by Anne Marie to get a place on Team Olly.
Also singing for a spin this evening were duo Loaded Sista, made up of duo Keisha Rodney & Salli Flaherty who sang Black Widow by Iggy Azalea Ft Rita Ora and went to Team Will.
As always in the blind auditions, the coaches will decide whether or not to spin for an act based only on what they hear as they sit with their backs to the stage.
Each of the contestants who step out on stage must hold their nerve as they perform in the hope of seeing at least one chair turn round.
But if no coaches spin then the contestant leaves the stage immediately.
The Voice 2018 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
