RATINGS! Dancing On Ice, Call The Midwife, Piers Morgan v Trump and more viewing figures

Call The Midwife topped last night’s viewing figures, beating Dancing On Ice in the ratings.

Series 7 of the BBC One show continued its new series with 7 million viewers, the most watched show of the night (Sunday, January 28). The show was down slightly on last week’s opener where 7.1 million had tuned in.
Dancing On Ice meanwhile continued with just over 5.5 million watching its fourth episode.
Legendary skating duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean were reunited with original hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the show that sees celebrity skaters take to the ice in a bid to dance and dazzle their way to glory.
Having originally run on ITV between 2006 and 2014, the series was back on ITV for its first series in four years this month.

Already renewed for 2019, a whopping audience of 7.7 million tuned in to the opening episode of the revival, but numbers last night fell to 5.6 million, down 500,000 on the previous Sunday.
The third live instalment peaked with an audience of 5.6 million for its marathon show between 6PM and 8PM that saw the remaining 10 skaters perform live for the judges.
The show saw the third skate off of the series as one celebrity couple were sent home following the latest live performances from the celebs.
Following Dancing On Ice last night, Vera concluded with its eighth series with 6.1 million viewers, down 200,000 week-on-week as it clashed with Call The Midwife.
Straight after, Piers Morgan’s interview with President Trump averaged 3 million for ITV in the 10PM slot.
Across on the other side and on BBC One, Countryfile had an average audience of 5.8 million while episode 6 of McMafia pull in 3.5 million, the same as last Sunday.
